Does It Connect? The Integrations Your Tee Time Booking Engine Should Have

Part 2 of the Tee Time Booking Engine Buyer's Guide · Vendor data current as of October 2026

A booking engine never works alone. A single tee time can start on Google, get priced by a dynamic pricing tool, land in the tee sheet, charge a card through the POS, trigger a confirmation text and an email campaign, and end with a cart waiver and a post-round survey. Every one of those hand-offs either happens automatically or becomes a job for your staff.

That's why the second question in this series is just as basic as the first. Does it connect?

Part 1 asked whether you can measure your booking engine. This part looks at what it's wired into, starting with the connection that matters most for public-access courses: Google's Book Online button, known as Reserve with Google. From there we rate 17 booking engines on distribution, revenue tools, AI booking, POS and payments, marketing, open APIs, golfer sign-in, loyalty and weather protection.

Key takeaways

  • Reserve with Google is the integration to check first. Twelve of the 17 booking engines we reviewed are live with it. Only GolfNow and TenFore Golf let golfers pick a time inside Google, and even then the booking finishes on a booking site.
  • Ask where the button sends golfers. Your own branded booking engine and a third-party marketplace are not the same destination, and Google can show both.
  • "Integrates with" can mean many things. Check whether a connection is native, a paid add-on, or a partner you contract separately, and whether you can keep your payment processor.
  • Your booking engine and tee sheet don't have to match. Many courses run one company's tee sheet with another company's booking engine, so ask which system owns each integration.

First, the connection underneath: your tee sheet

A booking engine is not a tee sheet. The tee sheet is the system your staff runs the day on. The booking engine is the golfer-facing storefront that reads tee times and rates from it and writes bookings back. Many vendors sell both, but they don't have to come as a pair. A course on the Lightspeed tee sheet can sell tee times through GolfNow's TeeItUp booking engine, and a course on the EZLinks tee sheet can choose Access by Troon, TeeItUp or EZLinks' own booking engine.

TeeItUp connects to more tee sheets than any other booking engine we know of: Club Prophet, Teesnap, Lightspeed, Proshop Tee Times, EZLinks, GolfNow's own GN Pro and foreUP.

A handful of booking engines don't come with a tee sheet at all. They always run on top of another company's tee sheet: Golf District, Golf Geek Software, GolfBack, CourseRev, Tee Time Central and Supreme Golf's Let's Go. Sagacity is a special case. It has its own tee sheet, but more courses use its booking engine than its tee sheet.

Keep that in mind as you read the charts. Each row describes the vendor's own booking engine. When your booking engine and tee sheet come from different companies, some connections live in the booking engine and others in the tee sheet, so ask both vendors which one owns each integration you care about.

Coming soon: Noteefy, best known for its tee time waitlist, is testing a booking engine of its own in beta. We'll rate it once it launches.

Start with Reserve with Google

When a golfer searches for your course, your Google Business Profile can show a Book Online button. For golf, that button runs through Google's Appointments Redirect program. Only an approved tee sheet or booking provider can turn it on. Your course can't add it by itself, and neither can Google. The provider sends Google a live availability feed, and Google sends the golfer to the provider's booking page to finish.

Throughout this guide we use two terms:

  • 1.0 (hand-off): the Book Online button opens the vendor's booking page, and the golfer picks a time there.
  • 2.0 (in Google): the golfer sees tee times and picks the date, time and group size inside Google, then finishes on a booking site.

Either way, the golfer completes the purchase on a booking site, not inside Google. That's why the destination matters so much.

Golfers who arrive this way are worth the effort. In Part 1, Sagacity's data showed Reserve with Google golfers converting at nearly 15%, against about 13% overall.

A closer look: where the button lands

GolfNow is one of two vendors where golfers pick a tee time inside Google. After choosing a time, the golfer picks where to finish: GolfNow.com, TeeOff, or the course's own GolfNow booking engine (TeeItUp), which now carries the course name and an "Official Site" badge. That's a real improvement, but your own engine sits next to two marketplaces on the same screen, and the marketplace may not show your best rate or capture the golfer for your email list.

Lightspeed (Chronogolf) hands golfers to a Chronogolf booking flow rather than the course's website booking engine. Lightspeed's support center also says tee times on dynamic pricing templates aren't compatible with Reserve with Google. If you price dynamically, ask which of your tee times Google can actually show.

TenFore Golf was one of the first non-marketplace vendors to turn on the button, in September 2024, and it's the other 2.0 engine: golfers pick a time inside Google. The difference is where they finish. TenFore sends them to the course's own website, not a marketplace. TenFore doesn't document this publicly, so this rating comes from smbGOLF's direct experience.

GolfBack hands golfers to its own booking engine, which runs on top of the course's existing tee sheet (Lightspeed, Club Caddie, foreUP or Proshop Tee Times).

Teesnap, foreUP, Proshop Tee Times and Club Prophet are live on Google, but none of them documents how the integration works. We confirmed them by finding their links on real course profiles.

Two more things every operator should know:

  • Marketplaces can appear on your profile too. Aggregators that list your tee times, such as GolfNow.com or Supreme Golf, can show up as booking options. Industry guidance from the NGCOA says an aggregator must remove a listing within five business days if the course asks.
  • Small vendors can wait a long time. Google is reported to turn away providers with only a few dozen courses, which is why newer engines such as Golf District and Golf Geek Software weren't live when we checked.

Test it yourself. On your phone, search your course name, tap Book Online, and note every option Google shows. Then book through to the payment step and check which site you're on.

Sales channels and revenue tools

Next, look at what your booking engine connects to for selling tee times: third-party marketplaces, dynamic pricing and waitlists, and AI agents that take bookings by phone or chat.

"By design" means the vendor says it deliberately doesn't sell inventory through marketplaces. For many operators that's a feature.

Distribution is a choice, not a score

Some vendors sync your inventory to GolfNow, Supreme Golf, TeeOff and other apps. Others, including Easy Tee Golf, TeeWire and Golf Geek Software, deliberately don't. A marketplace can fill slow tee times. It can also train golfers to book somewhere other than your site. If you use one, ask what it costs in fees or traded tee times, and who owns the golfer's contact details afterwards.

AI booking runs through partners

AI phone and chat agents that book tee times are spreading fast, but almost all of them are partner products. CourseRev, Sagacity AI, SpeakSport and GOLF.AI each connect to a short list of tee sheets. Sagacity is the only vendor here with its own agent built in. Before you buy an AI agent, confirm it books directly into your tee sheet rather than sending golfers a link.

Google is also moving toward agentic booking. In August 2025 it launched AI Mode restaurant reservations, and at Google I/O in May 2026 it said agentic booking would expand to more local services in the US. Google's own announcements haven't named any golf partners. When a vendor says it's ready for AI booking in Google, ask for documentation.

Google Analytics is an integration too

Part 1 rated how well each booking engine sends GA4 purchase data. It's worth seeing what a finished connection looks like. In this walkthrough, Easy Tee Golf shows how a course connects Google Analytics to its booking engine, the setup Part 1 described as taking minutes. Whatever engine you use, ask your vendor for a walkthrough like this one.

Watch for payment lock-in

Payment processing is where "integrated" most often means "required." TeeWire says courses must use its payments program. Easy Tee Golf runs on Square as its only processor. Several all-in-one vendors offer in-house processing without saying publicly whether it's mandatory. At the other end, Proshop Tee Times accepts any credit card processor, and Club Caddie offers a choice of processors. Locked processing isn't always bad, but your rate should reflect it, and you should know before you sign.

Open APIs are mostly claims

No vendor in this guide publishes open developer documentation for its booking engine. Several say they have an open API, and some share one with approved partners. If you plan to connect a tool the vendor doesn't already support, ask for the API documentation and the cost of access before you commit.

Golfer accounts, loyalty and weather protection

A few newer connections change how easy it is for a golfer to sign up, prove who they are, come back, and book when the forecast looks shaky.

Many golfer login screens load in a way we couldn't inspect, so "Not found" for social sign-in is especially provisional. Test your own booking page.

Social sign-in is still rare

Social sign-in lets a golfer create an account with Google, Apple, Facebook or LinkedIn instead of making up another password. It's sometimes called OAuth, after the standard behind it. We found it in only two booking engines. Golf District offers Google and Apple sign-in, and a live TenFore Golf booking page we checked in October 2026 offers Google, Apple and ID.me sign-in. Teesnap, Club Caddie and Lightspeed's golfer guides describe email and password accounts only, and GolfBack doesn't offer Google or Apple sign-in. If account creation is part of your booking flow, ask your vendor whether social sign-in is available.

ID.me for military, first responder and resident rates

ID.me confirms that a golfer is military, a first responder, a student or a local resident, so you can offer those rates online without staff checking IDs at the counter. foreUP lists ID.me as an integration partner, and TenFore Golf announced an ID.me partnership in February 2025. TenFore also uses verified accounts to keep bots and tee time brokers from grabbing preferred rates. GolfNow's Military Tee Times program verifies military status through a different service, SheerID.

Loyalty that rewards booking direct

foreUP, Club Caddie, Club Prophet and TeeWire have loyalty points built in, and Easy Tee Golf connects to Square Loyalty so online bookings earn points automatically. Large loyalty networks work differently. GolfPass Points are earned on GolfNow.com and TeeOff, not on a course's own booking engine. Troon launched its Access loyalty network in March 2026, and Lightspeed lists Access in its integrations directory. Before you join a network, ask whether its points pull golfers to your website or to someone else's marketplace.

Weather protection at checkout

Weather protection lets a golfer pay a small fee at checkout for an automatic refund if rain passes a set threshold, with no claim to file. Sensible Weather offers it at GolfNow checkout and through Golf District, and also names Tee Time Central and the AI booking agent CourseRev as golf partners. We found no weather protection documented for the other booking engines. A rain check your staff issues after the round, like Teesnap's, is a different thing.

Guest experience: two integrations worth asking about

Some of the most useful connections happen after the tee time is booked. Two tools come up often with operators:

  • eGolf Waiver handles digital golf cart and equipment waivers, signed by QR code or remotely before arrival. Its only documented booking integration is with Lightspeed: the waiver is emailed automatically after a tee time is booked, and its status shows on the tee sheet. In February 2026 it also partnered with CourseRev to send waivers before golfers arrive.
  • RealTimeFeedback texts golfers at the end of their round to rate the experience, and manages online reviews. Its site doesn't list tee sheet or booking engine integrations, so ask how the end-of-round text is triggered and where the golfer's phone number comes from.

Neither tool depends on one particular booking engine. But when they connect to your tee sheet, waivers and surveys go out without anyone at the counter remembering to send them.

Your booking engine integration checklist

Before you sign, or at your next renewal, ask:

  1. Which tee sheets does your booking engine work with, and which integrations live in the tee sheet instead?
  2. Are you live with Reserve with Google? Can golfers pick a time inside Google, or does the button hand them off?
  3. Where exactly does the Book Online button land: my branded booking engine, or your marketplace?
  4. Are all my rates sent to Google, including dynamically priced tee times?
  5. Which marketplaces do you sync to? What do they cost in fees or traded tee times, and who owns the golfer data?
  6. Which dynamic pricing, waitlist and AI booking partners connect directly to your tee sheet?
  7. Which POS systems do you connect to? Can I keep my payment processor?
  8. Which email, text and CRM tools do you integrate with, and does customer data sync both ways?
  9. Do you publish API documentation? What does access cost?
  10. Can golfers sign in with Google or Apple, and verify military, first responder or resident status online?
  11. Do online bookings earn loyalty points, and can golfers add weather protection at checkout?
  12. Do you connect to the guest tools I use, such as cart waivers and post-round surveys?

Then get a list of the integrations live at a course like yours, and call one of those courses.

Quick answers

Is a golf booking engine the same as a tee sheet?

No. The tee sheet is the system a course's staff uses to run the day, and the booking engine is the golfer-facing storefront that connects to it. Many vendors sell both, but courses can mix them: a course on the Lightspeed tee sheet can use GolfNow's TeeItUp booking engine, and EZLinks tee sheet courses can use Access by Troon, TeeItUp or EZLinks. TeeItUp works with more tee sheets than any other booking engine we know of. Some booking engines, including Golf District, Golf Geek Software, GolfBack, CourseRev, Tee Time Central and Supreme Golf's Let's Go, have no tee sheet of their own.

What is Reserve with Google for golf courses?

Reserve with Google puts a Book Online button on a golf course's Google Business Profile. For golf it runs through Google's Appointments Redirect program: an approved tee sheet or booking provider sends Google live tee time availability, and Google sends golfers to the provider's booking page to finish. A course can't add the button itself.

What's the difference between Reserve with Google 1.0 and 2.0?

In this guide, 1.0 means the Book Online button hands the golfer off to the vendor's booking page to choose a time. 2.0 means the golfer picks the date, time and group size inside Google, then finishes on a booking site. As of October 2026, GolfNow and TenFore Golf are the only booking engines we found with 2.0 selection.

Which golf booking engines work with Reserve with Google?

As of October 2026, GolfNow, Sagacity Golf (Quick18), Lightspeed Golf (Chronogolf), Club Caddie, Eagle Club Systems, Easy Tee Golf, TenFore Golf, GolfBack, Teesnap, foreUP, Proshop Tee Times and Club Prophet are live. We found no public evidence for Golf District, Golf Geek Software, Tee On or TeeWire, and MemberSports wasn't live in September 2026.

Can I keep my payment processor when I switch booking engines?

It depends on the vendor. Proshop Tee Times accepts any credit card processor and Club Caddie offers a choice of processors, while TeeWire requires its own payments program and Easy Tee Golf runs on Square only. Many all-in-one vendors offer in-house processing without saying publicly whether it's required, so ask before you sign.

Which golf booking engines offer weather protection for golfers?

As of October 2026, Sensible Weather's weather guarantee is available at GolfNow checkout and through Golf District. Sensible also names Tee Time Central and CourseRev as golf partners. We found no weather protection documented for the other booking engines in this guide.

Which golf booking engines work with ID.me?

foreUP lists ID.me as an integration partner, and TenFore Golf announced an ID.me partnership in February 2025. Both let courses verify military, first responder, resident or other discount eligibility online. GolfNow's Military Tee Times program uses SheerID instead.

Can AI agents book tee times in my booking engine?

Yes, through partners in most cases. CourseRev, Sagacity AI, SpeakSport and GOLF.AI each connect to specific tee sheets, and Sagacity is the only vendor in this guide with its own built-in AI booking agent. Confirm the agent books directly into your tee sheet rather than sending golfers a link.

Methodology

Ratings come from vendor websites, help centers, product changelogs and partner pages, announcements from the integration companies, Google's developer documentation, and smbGOLF's direct experience managing booking engines and Google Business Profiles for client courses. Reserve with Google status for foreUP, Proshop Tee Times and Club Prophet is based on live Book Online links we found on course profiles in September 2026, because those vendors don't document the integration. TenFore Golf's 2.0 rating, third-party distribution for Sagacity and Proshop Tee Times, the tee sheets TeeItUp works with, which booking engines have no tee sheet of their own, and GolfBack's lack of social sign-in are based on smbGOLF's direct experience. We know about Noteefy's booking engine beta through smbGOLF's direct experience, because Noteefy hasn't announced it publicly. A partner integration is rated Yes when either company documents it. "No" means the vendor says it isn't offered, or we confirmed it on a live booking page or through smbGOLF's direct experience. "Not found" means we found no public evidence as of October 2026, not that an integration doesn't exist. We invite every vendor listed to send documentation or corrections, and we'll update the charts.

Disclosure: smbGOLF manages websites and booking engines for golf courses that use several of the vendors rated here, and several of these vendors have sponsored Ohio Golf Course Owners Association (OGCOA) events, where Mike Hendrix serves as technology advisor. No vendor paid for inclusion or reviewed its rating before publication. See our revenue disclosure.
