OutingRFP

OutingRFP is an online marketplace for golf outings. An outing planner posts one structured request for proposal (RFP) with the date, headcount and budget spelled out, and golf courses in the area bid for the event. OutingRFP says its founder, Scott Pollock, owns Tanglewood Golf Club in Bainbridge Township, Ohio, so the product comes from the operator side of the counter. Courses and golfers can write an OutingRFP review using this SURVEY FORM.

What OutingRFP offers

• The RFP marketplace. Corporate, charity, social and association planners describe their outing once instead of calling course after course.
• Course bidding. Courses register, receive leads from planners in their area and submit bids through the platform.
• Planner tools. Free tools for planners, including an AI Profit Optimizer, a planning checklist, a budget builder, a pairing sheet generator and a sponsorship package builder.
• Course proposal template. A starting point for courses writing outing proposals.

Why it matters to a course

Outings fill weekday tee sheets and drive food, beverage and banquet revenue, but early inquiries often arrive without a firm date, player count or budget. OutingRFP's pitch is that the request arrives complete, so a course can decide quickly whether the event fits and price it.

Pricing

OutingRFP says the marketplace is free for planners, always, and free for courses during early access. It has not published what courses will pay after early access.

Questions to ask before signing up

• How many planners in our market are posting RFPs today?
• What will courses pay after early access, and is it per lead, per booked outing or a subscription?
• Who owns the planner's contact details if we win, or lose, the bid?
• Can we set minimums for headcount, budget or dates we will not quote?
• Does it connect to our tee sheet or event management system, or is the booking handled separately?
